Impression – Go On, Episode 05

Impression:

In this episode we are introduced to a couple of concepts of which I am a huge advocate. First we find out that Steven has broken up with his girlfriend and is kind of down. With this we get to see Ryan on the other side of things because Steven now needs Ryan and he is going to try to help his friend with loss. After some classic wingman antics and not so standard use of professional radio equipment Steven and Ryan come to realize what they both have been missing out on. Even though the date didn’t really pan out, Steven really enjoyed hanging out with Ryan. I am a big advocate of having fun with your friends and not forcing yourself to get into the dating scene when it is not always necessary. The other story that is told is that of Lauren’s test anxiety. Lauren is having trouble passing her test to become a real estate agent and some of the group members catch her worker minimum wage due to her failures. The group then gets together to try to help Lauren get over her anxiety which brings up something very important to me. Even though Lauren leads the group and everyone in said group come from different walks of like at our core we are just people who rely on each other and are not inherently superior in comparison to one another.

People love to pretend their teams are actually good-by taking even the worst of franchises and winning a virtual Super Bowl with them.

Current Opinion of the Show:

I am enjoying the ease with which multiple stories are being told in each episode. I am still very high on the serious nature of the show and, even though the comedy was more subtle in this episode, the quality of the humor has persisted. I just hope that the series continues to grow at a high rate.
