Impression:

If you were missing out on the romantic aspect of this series, then you will be happy with what you see in this episode. Now that the naval battle is over, Yuusha is able to spend more time with Mao and the romance is at least getting somewhere. Obviously, Onna Kishi is not too happy about this and she is making excuses to interrupt their love. The relationships that Yuusha has with these respective women are very interesting. The history that he has with Onna Kishi is nice, but no matter what gets thrown out there, the story is basically saying that there is no way that Yuusha and Maou will not end up together. The overly aggressive dragon princess is pretty funny though. I didn’t think that we would actually get to see some of the demons that fell in love with Yuusha and I am wondering if this will become an issue when Maou has to talk to the leaders of the various demon tribes in this next arc. Oh right, this episode wasn’t all romance because Maou has to renew her position as the Demon King. Look forward to some scary moments possibly because both the demon and human worlds are both seeing some internal turmoil that could lead to more blood on the hands of our couple.

Time to educate the world.

Current Opinion of the Show:

Education, agricultural advances, and new technology. Does anyone else feel like this is a history class. Well, that is what we are getting and this unique story is really enjoyable. I mean, we are going to get our classic harem elements, but this is much more than your average romance anime. Something like Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is rare and should be appreciated for what it is. I don’t know about you guys, but I am really looking forward to seeing what comes of this corruption that has developed in the shadow of war.
