Impression:

I am going to be honest with you. I actually enjoyed the first half of this episode. There was nothing truly significant about it because it basically held no value to what this series may try to pass off as a plot, but I was entertained. Ogata brings everyone out to a goat farm because he thinks Ogi has trouble with the Don due to a secret fear of goats. So  Ogi’s family, Ogata, Inaba’s crew, and Stella decide to spend the day looking at Goats. It turns out that the farm is a cover for Noah’s new chimera lab. Well, things don’t really get serious. The day is mostly Ogata making fun of Ogi due to the misunderstanding and Ogi beeing a doting parent. I can’t really explain why I enjoyed this, but I did. I have honestly confused myself with my reaction to this part of the episode. On the other hand, getting stuck in the death forest wasn’t really doing it for me in the second half of the episode. Ogi takes Inaba and crew into the death forest in order to try to stop the Don from running a shady power shrine. Honestly, all power shrines could be classified as shady because I, as well as the vast majority of people, believe them to be a hoax. I don’t live in a world of complete disbelief, but power shrines fall under my bullshit category of things that some people believe in. Back on topic, I didn’t find their quest through the death forest to be funny.

They are just pebbles.

They are just pebbles.

Current Opinion of the Show:

Even though I did enjoy part of this episode, my opinion of the show really didn’t change. I still am not a big fan of this series because a little humor can’t save it when we are this far into the series. What I took away from this episode was the fact that the last two episodes may be bearable. I know that I sound pessimistic, but if they don’t pull some kind of rabbit out of their hat in the last two episodes of this series, then I will definitely not be looking forward to a season two. And no, I will not be happy if someone pulls a rabbit out of a hat like a magician in the show because I can see something like that happening. I am looking forward to something that can pass as funny.
