We have been talking about the fact that there are three different versions of Injustice for quite a while. Obviously, the majority of us will be getting just the game, but that really isn’t worded correctly. For those of you that preorder any version of the game, there will be bonuses available. Now, we all have preferences when it comes to where we buy our video games. Some of us choose Best Buy due to their electronics prowess, while others prefer Amazon because we don’t have the time to go out and shop. I am quite partial to my local GameStop. One thing to consider when deciding where you should buy Injustice is the preorder bonuses. It is definitely not too late to get in a preorder of the game and here is what you have to choose from:
Amazon: You will receive a $10.00 promotional credit that can be used towards the purchase of items that are shipped and sold by Amazon.com. There are some restrictions, but the items are not limited to Amazon specific products such as the Kindle. Speculation~ The Blackest Night DLC Pack, which includes the Blackest Night skin for Batman as well as the Zombie mode which will make all of the characters look like zombies, is available with the preorder of Injustice for European Amazon shoppers. The trailer for the DLC pack itself is exclusively in German at this time. However, we could expect to see it on Amazon over here in the states as well because things change everyday.
Best Buy: You will receive the Blackest Night DLC Pack which includes the Blackest Night skin for Batman as well as the Zombie mode for the game. Even though the trailer is still in German only, the American Best Buy website is offering it to the buyers. Thus, this is a good sign for Amazon shoppers who would definitely like to see this come with their game.
GameStop: You will receive the Red Son Pack DLC which includes the Red Son costumes for Superman, Wonder Woman, and Solomon Grundy as well as twenty bonus missions that will take you through the Red Son storyline. GameStop appears to be the only provider that is offering this package for its customers.
Walmart: You will receive the Arkham City skins for Batman, Catwoman, and the Joker as well as a copy of the game Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. Walmart appears to be the only provider that is giving us the Arkham City skins and they are definitely the only ones giving out a free game.
I am a little overwhelmed with everything that is going on with this game in terms of choices. Personally, I think that GameStop is giving away the best bonus because their DLC includes skins as well as bonus missions. I will not downgrade the Blackest Night DLC because you get a zombie mode and Batman’s skin comes from my favorite Green Lantern storyline. I own all of the Blackest Night stuff in hardcover I would definitely recommend it to fans of the DC Universe. Honestly, Walmart seems to have the weakest offer. I know, the skins are cool and no one can say no to a free game, but I think that they are just trying to unload a bunch of unsold copies of a very bad fighting game. I love DC to death and I am a big time fighting game fan, but I am glad that I didn’t buy that game until it was $20.00 at GameStop. I talked to a worker at my local GameStop and they didn’t know about the Blackest Night DLC and they were worried about it being a one time thing until I said it was available through two different providers. Hopefully, all of the DLC material will be available to people no matter when or where you choose to buy the game. Now, DLC isn’t the only thing that sets apart the providers of the game. Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart will all be carrying the standard and Collector’s Edition of Injustice. However, GameStop is the only company that seems to be offering the Battle Edition of the game. I don’t know about you guys, but I need that arcade stick. Shop wisely and let’s all hope that this game lives up to the hype.
