Raise your hand if you like shipping? Now, keep your hands up if you want Yuuta and Rikka to end up together. Everyone that still has their hands up needs to stop what they are doing and watch episode eight of Chuunibyou. Rikka runs off because she cannot handle the reality that her sister has thrown into her face. Yuuta spends the day tracking her down and eventually finds Rikka at the train station. The two head back to town and Yuuta spends the ride trying to break the awkward atmosphere. When the two get back to the complex where they both live we find out that Rikka cannot get into her place and no one is currently at Yuuta’s apartment. There are two ways that people will react to this turn of events. The group of people who do not particularly care for the romantic relationship between Yuuta and Rikka that will call these events cheesy and unnecessary. The group of people who enjoy the romantic relationship between Yuuta and Rikka will rejoice and consider this the wind in the sails of their ship. I love the thought of Yuuta and Rikka ending up together so I found this episode to be very entertaining. The two go through the motions of trying to handle their nightly routines like eating dinner and figuring out where and when to sleep.
Current Opinion of the Show:
I am basically convinced that Chuunibyou will be one of my favorite anime series this season. I have become very attached to the main romantic relationship and I have to see what happens to Yuuta and Rikka. The overall quality of the show is really nice and the side characters are getting some really nice development. Definitely a must watch for fans of slice of life anime. I look forward to seeing the conclusion of this vacation arc.
