Impression:

Well, it is a good thing that I said I wouldn’t mind Izayoi being over powered this week because he surprised even the great Shiroyasha. I guess it is the writer’s goal to make a villain as unlikeable as possible, but this Perseus guy really pisses me off. Since last week I could only think of my desire to see Izayoi punch him in his fucking face. I almost lost hope for seeing that because it turns out that the game is a stealth mission. Have you ever played a video game where they make you do stealthy things? I don’t mean like Assassin’s Creed where you can rip off wanted posters and be fine, because that makes sense, but the kind where someone spots you and you lose. Well, that was what this game was about, but Izayoi had a plan. Asuka gave herself up as a distraction which meant that she couldn’t face Perseus, You used her Animal Man powers to sense the invisible enemies and take them out which also made her lose the ability to face Perseus, and this would all allow for Izayoi and Russell to go unnoticed and face Perseus head on. Kurousagi finally realized that Izayoi was smart which I guess can go unnoticed because he comes off as some action junkie. Well, when they fought Perseus, the guys had to face a former demon king which was essentially a super powered gorgon. Once again, it is a good thing I was fine with one more week of the over powered Izayoi because not only did Izayoi fuck up this former demon king, but he destroyed its gift of the petrifying blast. That is some pretty crazy stuff. Izayoi then looked down upon Perseus and challenged him, not only for his flag which was already lost, but the name of Perseus itself in order to truly destroy the community. Izayoi is kind of evil, but that is the kind of guy that you want on your side. Perseus was defeated, Leticia was returned, and Izayoi finally had some fun.

Getting turned into stone always sucks.

Current Opinion of the Show:

I am really liking what this series is giving us. The action scenes are starting to take shape and they will only get better as the balance of power in the fights start to even out. The No Names are getting some good recognition from their efforts and the community is happy with the spoils of war. I can see this anime becoming something great and I will never compare it to Dog Days again because of that. The mix of action, drama, and slight comedy make for a series that I can say is my favorite from this season thus far. I am really looking forward to the next big fight because my one concern here is that I won’t enjoy the show moving forward if Izayoi is still over powered. He can win all the time, but I want to feel some tension in the fights. Finally, I am mad that Perseus never got punched in the face.
