I am the kind of person that is against celebrating until you have achieved your primary objective. However, the results of the Symbiosi campaign warrant a pat on the back. Thousands of petition signatures, two straight weeks of trending on Twitter, and countless other efforts including contacting Cartoon Network directly. The strength of this community is fantastic and I am proud to be a part of it. Well, it is time to keep on fighting.
As you can see from this picture, the official hashtag for the Symbiosi movement was trending during the Saturday morning live tweet. We are pretty active and being number three on that list isn’t bad. I would say that the only reason we didn’t hit number one like last week is because a lot of the hype and momentum drops off after the first effort. However, we still achieved our goal and this is a good way to get the attention of Cartoon Network. Unfortunately, not a lot of people tweeted @cartoonnetwork when they did their thing, but every tweet counts. The squeaky wheel gets the grease is basically what this entire campaign is all about and I would say that we are pretty damn loud. We have the next official hashtag, so I will go over the rules for this week once again: #1). Use the hashtag #LoveLanternJustice, #2). Use the hashtag on Saturday only, #3). Use only one hashtag in your tweets, #4). Support the shows in any way that you can. Once again, try to be respectful in your tweets so that we will look like a serious group and not a bunch of angry COD fans. Keep up with the news during the week on yjfanvids.
As you can see, these shows make some bank on iTunes. A big thanks to everyone that is supporting these shows in any way that you can because we are definitely showing people that we care about Young Justice and Green Lantern the Animated Series. We can never stop trying if we truly want to see these shows get brought back because Rome wasn’t built-in a day. Futurama took quite a while to come back and look at it now. Keep your spirits high and continue to enjoy what we were given.
