Game Sale Master List

For those of you that have Steam accounts, you will know that game sales are serious business. I personally have never been the biggest fan of digitally downloaded versions of games that have hard copies because I am old school, but this news really excites me. Xbox Live has digital versions of quite a few of their games, but one of the biggest issues that I have with digital games is that they are the same price as their physical counterparts. I would think that fewer resources being used would lead to a lower price, but there are a lot of things involved in marketing that I will never understand. However, something that I will always understand is a sale.

This is the kind of game that needed to be on sale.

There is a long list of games that will be on sale this month. Some sales will be on a one day basis, while others will on sale for blocks of time. There will be announcements regarding the title, price, and time for the games. There is already a master list for games that are part of the sale, so there will be some waiting involved for certain titles. Halos 3, 4, Reach, and Wars were on sale on the fourth which is unfortunate. Personally, I believe that Halo Wars is the perfect digital game. That thing that appeals to an established fan base, but puts them off due to its different style. Games that get picked up during sales are either extremely popular, or those titles that never get bought. Halo Wars is one of those permanent shelf residents, but I do plan on finally picking it up now that it is ten dollars.

I must have this one.

I hope that you guys take advantage of this because some titles retain value for no good reason. El Shaddai is that game that intrigued me, but was supposedly not so good. It has been stuck around twenty dollars for the longest time and I barely have enough money for new games that I want. Luckily, the game was three dollars for a block of time. This is what sales are all about. I am sorry about the timing of this article for Halo fans that wanted to get in on this, but I do plan on giving you better updates for the remainder of this sale. I know this is late, but there are more titles coming to us. Happy Shopping!
