There really isn’t a lot to say about this new episode. The only thing that we learned was that the first of the twelve powerful demons doesn’t really mind going back to the demon world. I guess that is nice and all, but some fighting couldn’t hurt. We are introduced to some odd humor which was almost funny. Ruki can’t handle being held several feet in the air which is stupid and the “strong” demon was shown to be weak once again. I am going to be very glad that this series is only thirteen episodes long if the humor continues to be almost non-existent. There is some corruption in the kingdom to possibly look forward to, but that isn’t really a big deal. How much can we really learn about these developments if the episodes are going to be this short. I would tell you to not blink at the risk of missing something, but there are at most two things per episode that hold lasting relevance. I wish I could say more, but I can’t have people reading something that is longer than the episode of anime that this piece is covering.
Current Opinion of the Show:
I feel as though watching these episodes on a week to week basis is really losing its value. I can see the entire season functioning well enough if you were to watch them all at once. Obviously, that is something I was planning on doing already, but I feel as though I can’t really judge this anime until I do that in four weeks. I guess I can hope for more substance moving forward, but I can’t really see this as something that will make me look forward to a second season. I say this because it probably will need one.
