Impression:

I really wanted to see the Don behind bars. That was basically the entire episode and that would have been nice had they decided to show him getting captured beforehand. Honestly, I can’t believe that the episode starts out with a phone call that says they finally caught Valentino. Are we not entitled to a little action? Maybe a decisive battle where Inaba and Ogi overpower the Valentino family could have been thrown in there. Oh well, we got one major story in this episode which was the Don going to a nonhuman prison without a trial. Ogi and Inaba argued against it, but a goat is not entitled to a fair trial. This prison is full of other talking animals, but most of them also stand tall like a human. The guards are robots that have water heaters for heads and they pout hot water onto prisoners as punishment. That sounds odd, but the hot to cold sensations that are brought about by such water torture is quite the prison punishment. I was actually very happy with that part of the story. However, things didn’t stay that intense. Prison life isn’t even that bad. The Don is rooming with Akiyoshi who is the former vessel of Soumei and they are happy together due to the mutual kindness between the two. The bad thing is that Akiyoshi is too nice and he lets a koala bully him which results in a lot of punishment. Well, the gang gets together to rescue the Don and all goes well until Akiyoshi reveals that he is a wolf. There must have been a reason for him to be in the animal prison. This makes the Don regretfully leave Akiyoshi behind. Soumei’s group is even more regretful because Akiyoshi raised the two young wolves. This episode really came out of left field.

A lot of my friends have these.

Current Opinion of the Show:

I am still pretty disappointed with this series. I actually thought that I might really enjoy this episode, but it got a little too emotional at times. Still, it was one of the better episodes to come out recently and I didn’t feel like I wasted my time. We got an interesting look into the wolves again, which is something that I have really liked, and the prison episode was bound to hit us eventually. They could have done it better, but the episode wasn’t a failure. Honestly, I look at the fact that there is only one episode left in the season and I wonder what they plan on doing with it. I don’t see this episode being immediately significant and the story is either nonexistent or patchy so it is extremely unpredictable. I use that word very negatively in this situation. Once again, I am really hoping that the last episode is at least worth my time.
