Impression:

I have watched this show give us power suits, zombies, and giant robots. Given, the robots looked like they weren’t all that fancy, but I have accepted the fact that there is some crazy technology in this series. However, the addition of demonic gunkata, megabusters, and a gundam is becoming a little too much for me to handle. We are still dealing with old school Japan here. I just don’t know what is going on anymore. The American Admiral has a megabuster as a replacement arm and his assistant can take out Suzuki while he has his power suit on. Ridiculous stuff aside, the scheme has been revealed. The Admiral plans to destroy the current Bafuku, marry Koharu, and then have their child rule over the land. That is the importance that a bloodline holds in a government like this one. Obviously, Koharu wouldn’t normally agree to this, but she was drugged. Things are not looking too hot right now. The first monstrous shot was fired and the helpers look like they could use some assistance. I guess the way that the story is progressing seems kind of predictable. Not in the sense that I knew it would turn out this way, but it should come as no surprise to anyone that this is happening. I guess the thing to look forward to is seeing how Roman deals with things now that the enemy has mental dominance over Koharu.

I guess the difference is the fact that the Admiral has his gun on the right.

Current Opinion of the Show:

I have some mixed feelings regarding what just happened. I am enjoying the action that we have gotten recently and it seems that we are done with the pointless humor. However, the out-of-place technology in the show is finally starting to get to me. They even made light of it by blacking out the screen during the mech transformation and having the characters comment on the lack of believability. I guess once you start accepting power suits, they will just keep upping the ante. Something that I am not a fan of is the fact that the series is only twelve episodes long. For a while now, myanimelist didn’t have a specific episode number, so I assumed it would be one of those things that went on indefinitely like Naruto, but the preview stated that the next episode is the last one. This could mean the end of season one, but I don’t know where they would go from here. Oh well, I guess I want to see how they handle this new enemy.
