Check out the first look at the anime adaptation of the popular, yet Japanese-exclusive, video game Dangan Ronpa. It has a very unique art style, particularly with the character designs. Danganronpa the Animation is headed by the same director and animation studio (Lerche) as Persona 4 the Animation, which had some very inconsistent animation quality. Keep your fingers crossed for this one, though devotees of the series are expected to be tough critics for the anime. Though for people unable to play the game or don’t want to watch a playthrough, the anime will hopefully be an acceptable alternative.

Danganronpa the Animation is set to air this summer, in July.
