So, I wasn’t really paying attention to things recently. Probably one of the most important things that I should have noticed was the fact that last week was the season finale of Go On. Honestly, how the hell was I supposed to notice this? NBC didn’t make a big deal about it or anything like that. There was no “and back to the season finale of Go On” little announcement. Given, NBC isn’t really known for its proper handling of its series. I guess that the spreading of the ashes and helping Lauren stories were good for a last hit, but it just didn’t give off a finale feel. Now, I know what you are all wondering. “What is the news on season two?” Let’s just say that Go On is still on the bubble. No news has come out regarding its renewal status yet, but the ratings don’t really look promising. A 16.10 million viewer turn out for the pilot trickled to as low as 2.87 million before the time slot change from Tuesdays at 9:00pm to Thursdays at 9:30pm. The change gave us the season low of 2.45 million and the finale which squeaked out 2.67 million viewers. This scares me because I really like this show and I think that it definitely deserves to be brought back. Today’s television lineup really lacks a dramatic comedy that is as good as Go On. It fills a role that I think we need. I refuse to live in world where Two and a Half Men still exists, while Go On gets cut after one season. Oh well, I will keep my hopes up for a show that needs to come back.
