Introduction:
I was right when I said that this series was about to get serious. Finding out that a community can lose everything in a forced game was bad enough, but finding out that other groups resort to kidnapping and murder in order to get ahead was not something I expected from a series with a bunny girl as its flagship character. Watching the characters getting serious was interesting as they once again proved that our little group is full of exceptional individuals. Kasukabe showed that her powers are basically the same as the DC super hero Animal Man. The ability to talk to and utilize the abilities of animals is very interesting. Asuka showed off her prowess as an interrogator when she forced the tyrant leader to reveal the fact that he kidnaps and murders children from other communities. Finally, we learn that Izayoi has an ability that is so special that even the demon lord in charge of classification can’t idenify it. All I have seen is super strength thus far, but there must be more too it. Overall, this series is turning out to be much more than I had expected.
Current Opinion of the Show:
Shock is the best way to put it. I expected another Dog Days, but got some real plot. The serious tone of the series is making me think that Mondaiji could be one of my favorite series from this season. That coupled with the very interesting action should make this series appeal to a wide variety of people. I am really looking forward to seeing what our characters can really do because they have yet to show their true abilities.
