If you’ve read my review of Ano Hana, then you’ll know how much I love the series and how excited I am for this movie. Though, I was wondering for the longest time what the producers could possibly show that would be different from the original series. This new trailer gave me some hope for the movie because it made me realize that there’s still a lot of uncovered ground, like memories from the Super Peace Busters’ childhood as well as what happened after the end of the series. Hints like Tsuruko’s short hair lead me to believe that the movie will touch upon the epilogue, which is strange because the movie is supposedly from Menma’s point of view. Hmm…

The movie will premiere in Japanese theaters on August 31st.
