If you’re sick of anime about schoolgirls in random clubs, then I guess it’s tough bananas for you. The summer anime season already seems to girl-central as it is, and the list continues to grow.
Here we have an adaptation of a manga titled Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku, with the “Kitakubu” referring to the “go-home club” when students don’t partake in any after-school activities. In this school, there’s something of an official kitakubu that’s made up of girls who do whatever they want. Sure haven’t heard of this idea anywhere before. What makes this series sound interesting is strange backgrounds these girls have. One is an heir to a school of ancient martial arts while another is the daughter of a powerful company CEO.
So I suppose if you can’t stand series like these, it’d probably be best to spend your summer out enjoying the sun. Or, you know, you could stay inside and play video games, too.
Kitakubu Katsudou Kiroku will air with the rest of the summer anime season in July.
