Senyuu. 2

Impression:

It is finally here. The second season of an anime that I desperately needed more from showed up and it did not disappoint. For those of you that are wondering, you should watch the first season of this series before jumping into this one.

Read the review of the first season here!

That isn’t very difficult because there are only thirteen episodes in the first season and they are each four and a half minutes long. Take out the ending theme and you are looking at less than an hour of time to catch. Well, let’s start-up the adventure once again.

They are trying to stop a war.

They are trying to stop a war.

We are back in the jail cell where Ares has basically destroyed Hime-chan’s armor. She failed to read the manual and that means that they need to find another means of travel on their quest to the castle. Ares claims that she was in the right and Foifoi has to break up a fight. This is bad because the ultra tsundere known as Hime-chan is not happy that Foifoi got in the way of things. She is going to kill him before there is any romantic development there. No one cares about Alba, as usual, and Ares starts calling the shots. On the other end, Januar had to stop his teleportation technique because it was too intense. Where did the rest of our characters end up? In the dimensional rift that is holding Ruki’s grandfather. The plot thickens.

I guess that we will be getting a two-sided story for a while.

Current Opinion of the Show:

I still love Senyuu. just as much as I did before. Maybe even more than that. I don’t know if it is the fact that I haven’t watched this series in a while, or the writing was really good, but I was very entertained by the comedy once again. I like the fact that Hime-chan is getting more screen time. I really like her character and watching her basically killing Foifoi is pretty great. What do I expect from this series? More of what we got from the first season. A well-written comedy that does not get enough screen time. Not only would full-length episodes help a story that is a hero’s adventure, but I need more stuff like this. A fun comedy that gives us quality humor. I guess I will be looking forward to Tuesdays this season.

I have high hopes for Ruki's grandfather.
