As Shounen Jump makes its Super Anime Tour around Japan, traveling to five different cities between October and November, they’ll be premiering two new original event anime. These include a Naruto Shippūden anime that will feature a surprise popular character, as well as Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu), animated for the very first time.

For those of you who may not know, AssClass is about the lowest ranking class at a certain school that’s charged with the duty of assassinating a mysterious alien who threatens to destroy the planet in the year. Not only does this alien have Mach 20 speed, but it’s also become their teacher! While the students fruitlessly attempt to assassinate him, he actually teaches them valuable life lessons. Despite the morbid premise, AssClass is actually a comedy (if the ridiculous premise wasn’t a giveaway). It’s one of the few manga that I actually read and getting an event anime is incredible news for fans of the manga. I’ve always though this series would make a really good anime series, and with its popularity and this event anime, it looks like we’ll be one step closer to seeing that happen.

The anime tour will also produce the first looks at some of Shounen Jump’s other anime series, namely Kuroko no Basuke and Nisekoi.
